Better equipping black entrepreneurs to increase successful Black business ownership
Struggles with debt and raising capital, in addition to systematic barriers, prevent Black Businesses from hiring service providers that can help them digitize their businesses. The digitization of businesses supports smoother operations, improves customer experiences, and expands reach solidifying the foundation to success.
Since Odd Media began, we have attempted to tackle this issue on our own. We have been unsuccessful. Though many of our clients have shown great potential, the current realities of Black Business ownership are against us. Even though 20% of Black Americans are starting or running new businesses right now—more than any other ethnic group- only 4% of those businesses make it past the start-up stage. The only way to combat this, besides just handing over money, is to completely change the landscape of what's currently available to Black Businesses.
The BLK Digital Network exists to protect and strengthen Black Businesses while building a hub of resources with us at the center. Together, we will better equip Black Entrepreneurs to increase successful Black Business Ownership, stimulate the economy, generate jobs and eventually diminish the Black-White Wealth Gap in America creating a better future for us all.

In 2020, almost $450B was generated online from E-commerce in the U.S, more than ever. This is the same year we saw 46% of Black American Businesses fail due to the global Pandemic. If more BOB's had the tools and capital to properly market themselves online, they could earn their share of that colossal amount igniting the flame to a brighter future.
As pioneers of the BLK Digital Network, we have navigated our strategy from targeting BLK Businesses to advocating for them. We currently redirect a portion of proceeds from every project we complete to provide subsidized services to BLK entrepreneurs. Some of the services we already provide include:

Because of our past, we've been traditionally overlooked in a lot of industries meaning that our unique perspective yields potential for innovation. Together, it's our duty to be successful. If you wish to dedicate a portion of your training and expertise to solidifying the foundation of BOB's and reviving our communities, we want you!
Access to higher education is still a luxury for many BLK people. Our goal is connect, strengthen and encourage long-term relationships between BLK Businesses and BLK service-providers that have training and access to information that is fundamental for a businesses success and compliance. Your support could look like offering subsidized services, helping us advocate by spreading the word, sharing your blog or other means of expertise with our BOB's, etc.
Creatives
Calling all BLK photographers and videographers, graphic designers, strategists, copywriters, influencers, etc.
If you specialize in any form of digital art and wish to dedicate a portion of your talents to growing our communities through BOB's, we want you!
Our goal is to grow a network of top tier talent that can help Black Businesses bring their ideas to life. Using Black talent to execute Black ideas not only keeps the dollar in our community, but it mutually contributes to the success of both businesses and maximizes the potential for cultural impact. We're also always looking for amazing talent to outsource projects to.
Conscious Consumers
Calling all 21st century consumers with a pulse and internet access

Money is the root of all evil. Our goal is to alleviate many issues facing our communities including crime, drug-use, homelessness, unemployment, stress and more by simply addressing the Black-White wealth gap in America. Our children deserve to live in a world of peace. By redirecting our dollars to black businesses, we generate jobs, stimulate the economy, and create a better future for us all.

Find our community and grow our network through intensive digital marketing efforts. In 2022, we'll launch BLKdigital.network , a full website dedicated to the cause.
2023
In-Person Events with workshops, free resources, tools, networking & more
We'll connect our audience with the resources in real life breaking the virtual barrier and creating trust. We'll also get the word out to those who may have missed our online efforts.
2024-2025
Make Impact
Once we secure a solid foundation of support and connect with a solid foundation of dreamers, we will begin making our impact on the economy and move to our next phase which includes making change on a legislative level.

While we can't take credit for this quote, we do live by it. Our dream to diminish the Black-White wealth gap in America can only happen with action. Check out our plan for the next few years. By 2025, we hope to close our first phase having provided digital services and support to 500 BOB's with your help.
